Chenoweth Sings on Bewitched Soundtrack Released June 21

Kristin Chenoweth, who plays the neighbor of Nicole Kidman's Samantha in the upcoming film Bewitched, will also lend her vocal talents to the soundtrack.

The petite star will sing "Witchy Woman" on the CD, which will be released three days before the film opens on June 24th. In addition to Chenoweth (as Marie) and Kidman, Bewitched stars Will Ferrell, Shirley MacLaine, Michael Caine, Jason Schwartman and another Wicked star, Carole Shelley. The film, which is written and directed by Nora Ephron, takes the narrative twist of having the Bewitched characters played by actors filming a movie version of the classic sitcom. The actor playing Darrin (Ferrell) falls in love with the actress playing Samantha, who unbeknownst to the other actors, really is a nose-twitching sorceress.

Chenoweth, who was nominated for a Tony for her performance as Glinda in Wicked and who won for her Sally Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, has also appeared in Scapin, A New Brain, Steel Pier, Epic Proportions, in the Lincoln Center concert production of Candide, and the Encores! productions of Strike Up the Band, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever and The Apple Tree. As I Am and Let Yourself Go are her two solo CDs, and her upcoming films include The Pink Panther, Running With Scissors and Asphalt Beach. She also plays Annabeth Schott on TV's "The West Wing."
