Acclaimed theatre stars Kathleen Chalfant and Laila Robins will star in a reading of Kristof Bathory's Garbo's Last Walk at the Arthur Seelan Theatre (250 W. 40th St.), located below the Drama Book Shop, on March 5 at 7 PM.

"In 1942, Greta Garbo, the screen's most mysterious actress, left Hollywood forever, hiding herself in her New York apartment for the rest of her life.  All she seemed to care about were her walks. In 1990 . . . she took her last walk," as press materials describe the show.

Chalfant received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in Angels in America: Millennium Approaches. She has also been seen on Broadway in M. Butterfly, Angels in America: Perestroika and Racing Demon. Off-Broadway credits include Wit, Five by Tenn, Talking Heads and Guantanamo: Honor Bound to Defend Freedom.

Robins was recently seen on Broadway in the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Heartbreak House.  Other Broadway credits include Frozen, The Herbal Bed and The Real Thing, as well as Off-Broadway's Sore Throats, Tiny Alice, Mrs. Klein, The Merchant of Venice and The Extra Man, among others.
