'Celebrating Neen,' A Benefit Event With Comedy and Music Honoring Jeannine Liebert Will Be Performed at Otto's In Manhattan "Celebrating Neen" - an afternoon of comedy and music in honor of Jeannine Liebert - who passed away earlier this year - has been set for Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Otto's Shrunken Head (538 E. 14th Street) in Manhattan.

Scheduled to begin at 2:00pm, the four-hour benefit event will feature performances by comedians Liz Miele, Charles McBee, Menuhin Hart, and the host of NPR's "Ask Me Another" Ophira Eisenberg! Produced Eric Vetter, founder / producer of No Name Comedy Variety Shows, music will be provided by No Name house band The Summer Replacements (with whom Jeannine occasionally sang), and many others, including Scott McClatchy, Hans Liebert, and her sister Linda Engels-Steber.

Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $10.00. Proceeds will be donated to two 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, the AFSP (afsp.org), which funds research, creates educational programs, advocates for public policy, and supports those affected by suicide and the JDRF (jdrf.org), the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

Liebert, a Wisconsin native, lived in New York for two decades. In February, two years after moving to Milwaukee to be closer to family, she unexpectedly passed away. This event is a chance for her NYC friends to remember and celebrate her life with a great party, one that will also benefit others.
