CAP21 has announced this Fall's Dorothy Strelsin New Works Series, running October 6th through November 10th.

DANI GIRL (A new musical)
October 6th - 7:30pm
Music: Michael Kooman and Lyrics: Chris Dimond Directed by: John Carrafa and Musical Direction by: Marshall Keating

Dani, a precocious nine-year-old, finds herself face to face with a life-threatening disease. She embarks on a magical quest to reclaim her health.

CREATIVE WRITING (A new drama)
October 27th - 7:30pm

Directed by: Jordan Young

David, a talented black grad student, is stuck in a second-rate program at an underrated school. In this psychological thriller, David must decide how much he is willing to sacrifice for the success he's always wanted.

LITTLE MISS FIX-IT (A new musical)
November 3rd - 7:30pm

Directed by: Steve Bebout and Musical Direction by: Mike Pettry

Nan is an eleven-year-old girl who reads The New York Times, drinks black coffee for breakfast, and tries to bend spoons with her mind. The one thing she fears most: disorder. This ten-character musical captures Nan's adventure in a world of chaos.

THE TROUBLE WITH DOUG: A MODERN-DAY METAMORPHOSIS (A new musical) November 10th - 7:30pm A Musical by: Will Aronson & Daniel Maté Directed by: Lawrence Arancio

Doug Gregory transforms from a successful, independent young man into a giant slug. As his family struggles to adjust, we are treated to a dark comedy of evolution, devolution, and the "slugular" side of life.
