Bret Michaels Thanks Fans; Plans to Continue Tour

Today, May 25, recent winner of 'Celebrity Apprentice', released a personal 'Thank You' note to his supportive fans. Posted on his Facebook page, Bret's note also mentions his immediate plans to pick up touring this Friday. The 'Thank You' states: 

"With all of my heart, soul and the remaining organs I have left (lol) I would like to thank each and every one of you for all of your support and awesomeness. All the good vibes and well wishes gave me the strength to go back to New York and win Celebrity Apprentice. I am not at 100% yet but I have every intention of trying to continue the tour starting Friday in Biloxi. I hope to see your rockin rollin, smiling faces on the road… that is the best medicine I can think of right now. You rock my world." To see the note on Facebook, click here

Rocker Bret Michaels won Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice 2010 competition on Sunday, May 23, beating Holly Robinson Peete. In an unexpected twist, Donald Trump announced that both charities will receive $250,000 from Snapple.  Bret's winnings will benefit the American Diabetes Foundation.

On April 22, Bret Michaels was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after suffering a brain hemorrhage. Fans may remember last year when Michaels was struck in the head by a piece of scenery following his performance on the 2009 Tony Awards. Although this incident did not contribute to his brian hemorrhage.

The rocker, who suffers from Type 1 diabetes, recently had an appendectomy on April 12. In addition his career as the lead singer of Poison, Michaels has several solo albums to his credit. He has also starred in the VH1 reality show Rock of Love with Bret Michaels and its sequels, and as a judge on the talent show Nashville Star. He is a contestant on NBC's reality show Celebrity Apprentice 3. His hits, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and "Nothing But a Good Time" are featured in the Broadway hit musical ROCK OF AGES.
