After a long week of treading the boards, what better way for performers to unwind than with the affection of a furry friend? In one of BroadwayWorld's newest series, Tails of Broadway, photographer Jessica Fallon Gordon is capturing priceless moments between Broadway's brightest stars and their pets.

In this edition, meet Celie and Olivia- the adorable cats of SCHOOL OF ROCK's Sierra Boggess!

Name(s): Celie and Olivia

Breed: Celie- silver and gray tabby; Olivia- tabby

How long have you've owned: Celie- 7 years; Olivia- 3 years

Adoption story: Celie was adopted when I was doing The Little Mermaid on Broadway. She had been left outside in a paper bag and picked up by Metro Pets! As soon as I saw her I was in love! She was only 4 months old when I adopted her. As soon as I took her home, she walked around purring on her tip toes and my sister and I named her Celie after our favorite musical, The Color Purple.

With Olivia, my sister was playing in Big Fish on Broadway at the time and in between shows was on the phone with me and suddenly said, "There's a kitten, there's a kitten, oh my god there's a kitten." And Olivia was sitting huddled on a subway grate on 57th and 7th. I said I will be right there and I grabbed my cat carrier and went down and picked her up. She was the size of my palm. I took her to my vet who treated her right away for fleas and worms and all the things she had in her only 3 weeks of living on this earth! We named her Olivia after Celie's daughter in Color Purple, because Nettie was already the name of my sister's cat. :)

Favorite thing to do with your pet(s): I love waking up with them and coming home to them at the end of my show. They are so social and so happy to see me when I come in the door, running right up to me and just needing a bunch of attention. Literally they are the greatest girls in the world.

The naughtiest thing your pet has done: They don't understand about scratching posts at all. So I had bought a brand new couch in my old apartment that within a couple months had to be replaced because they scratched it up so much. But as a true cat owner knows, it was MY fault I bought the kind of couch with the kind of material that can be damaged by cats. I learned my lesson and have a couch with material they can't get their claws into. ha!

What would your pet's catch-phrase be: "Hey sister whatcha gonna do? Goin' down my the river gonna play with you."
