Amas Musical Theatre in its 41st year is a multi-ethnic, non-profit performing arts organization dedicated to the development of new musicals and to the training of young performing artists. 30 students will be selected on the basis of talent, potential and ability in the performing arts.

The Rosetta LeNoire Musical Theatre Academy offers teens ages 14-20 to experience an exciting adventure in world of theatre. Broadway theatre professionals teach classes in singing, acting, dance and the business of theatre. Guest artists teach special workshops in clowning, stage fighting hip-hop, Latin dance, improv, writing and much more!

The Academy meets on Saturdays 9:45-4:30. During the fall term students will prepare for a theatrical presentation held in January for parents and friends. In May of 2010, the Academy students perform a fully-produced Off-Off-Broadway Musical. Classes will be held in a New York City location.

The Rosetta LeNoire Musical Theatre Academy has been featured in The New York Times, The Amsterdam News, The New York Post, and on NY1. The New York Times hailed the Academy production of Footloose as a "spirited revival…that displayed the triple-threat talents of a teenaged multicultural ensemble…"
