Enjoy a weekend of folk music, old and new, and friends, old and new, at the newly renovated Hudson Valley Resort and Spa in Kerhonkson, NY. Sing, jam, relax, swap songs, learn new songs and listen to and/or play with other musicians. The weekend features some of today's finest Folk/Roots musicians, who will perform and present workshops. There is also plenty of opportunity for informal music making, socializing, hiking, and kicking back with interesting folks in a luxurious setting, comfortable rooms, good food, and resort facilities close at hand.

Featured performers are:

Scott Ainslie plays and sings Black Gospel and Blues with affection, authority, and power. Armed with a variety of instruments, including vintage guitars, a fretless gourd banjo, a homemade diddly bow (aka cigar box guitar,) and personal anecdotes of his encounters with senior musicians across the South, Ainslie brings the history, roots music, and sounds of America to life.

Michael & Carrie Kline have been studying and chronicling the history and culture of Appalachia for forty years. They share the culture they have immersed themselves in with story and song.

Liza DiSavino and A.J. Bodnar share their unboundaried love of music through musical excellence, beauty, and a dazzling array of acoustic music. Their large repertoire of Americana includes songs from the Catskills and Southern Appalachian ballads.
Russ Chandler, a Special Guest, is a forceful singer and banjo player who sings traditional, political, and modern songs that he feels have something to say in the world we live in.

Located near New Paltz, the Hudson Valley Resort and Spa is nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Shawangunk Mountains. Enjoy good food, newly renovated rooms, tennis, golf, table tennis, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and more. A transportation coordinator helps to arrange rides to the weekend. Participants are encouraged to come for two or three days and stay at the hotel; day admission is also available.
