30 MINUTES OR LESS to Open at Full Circle Theatre, Featuring 3 New Works by AJ Pearce
The Calgary production stars Ciorstaidh Reid, Marcus Della Rosa, and Glynna Mackenzie at Awaken Church.
Full Circle Theatre will present 30 Minutes or Less, an evening of three short plays by local playwright AJ Pearce.
Following Full Circle Theatre's first collaboration with Pearce at the Calgary Region One Act Play Festival, where Lady Jane Waiting received a successful showing and performer Ciorstaidh Reid was recognized with an Outstanding Performance award, the company is once again joining forces with Pearce to bring three new stories to the stage.
30 Minutes or Less features comedy, drama, history, and thought-provoking subjects - all presented in compact theatrical packages.
In May '99, a teenager struggles to return to school in the aftermath of the Columbine shootings. In The Critic, local playwright Tasha takes matters into her own hands after receiving a brutal review from a theatre critic. And in Lady Jane Waiting, audiences meet Lady Jane Franklin as she waits for her husband to return from the Arctic.
The production features Marcus Della Rosa as Justin, Bryan McHale as Dad, and Safia Elder as Stacey in May '99; Glynna Mackenzie as Tasha and Karen Hanna as Elizabeth in The Critic; and Ciorstaidh Reid as Lady Jane and AJ Pearce as Nigel in Lady Jane Waiting.
30 Minutes or Less is written and directed by AJ Pearce, with stage management by Cally Miller. The production is produced by Full Circle Theatre's Erin Weir and Claire Bolton.
