Judy Gold's critically acclaimed 25 QUESTIONS FOR A JEWISH MOTHER will close on Sunday, March 18 following the matinee performance at St. Luke's Theatre (308 W. 46th Street).  25 QUESTIONS FOR A JEWISH MOTHER will have played 16 preview performances and 178 regular performances.  A multi-city tour will launch in May and a book based on 25 QUESTIONS FOR A JEWISH MOTHER will be released by Hyperion on Mother's Day.

This heartfelt and hilarious one-woman show began previews on Wednesday, September 27 and officially opened on Thursday, October 12, 2006. Written by Kate Moira Ryan with Judy Gold and directed by Karen Kohlhaas, 25 QUESTIONS FOR A JEWISH MOTHER is Gold's personal journey about becoming a parent, while learning to be a daughter to a nagging Jewish mother of her own.

Emmy-winning actress/comedienne Judy Gold and award-winning playwright Kate Moira Ryan embarked on a five-year journey across the United States, interviewing over 50 Jewish women of different ages, ethnicities, and occupations. The end result is a moving and humorous portrait of what makes a Jewish mother, a Jewish mother.

25 QUESTIONS FOR A JEWISH MOTHER received a 2006 Drama Desk nomination and a 2007 GLAAD Media Award nomination.
