2013 Doodle 4 Google Winner and Finalists Go On View at American Museum of Natural History Today
The American Museum of Natural History and Google reveal the 2013 Doodle 4 Google winner and finalists. The annual Doodle 4 Google competition invites students (grades K-12) across the country to submit their designs of the Google logo, this year based on the theme "My Best Day Ever..."
One design will be selected to appear on the Google homepage for 24 hours on May 23, and all of the top 50 finalists (one from each U.S. state) will have their artwork displayed at the Museum as well. This year will be the sixth year of the national competition and the fourth year that Google has honored the program and its finalists by hosting a presentation of participants' artwork in New York City.
The Doodle 4 Google Awards celebration is an opportunity to honor the artistic achievements of the 50 state finalists, who were selected from over 130,000 applications. Through art and creative technology workshops hosted by the Google doodlers and leading experts from the field, these students will hone their skills, learn new techniques, and be inspired to think big about creative education and professional paths. A list of finalists and their designs is available at http://www.google.com/doodle4google/vote.html
The Doodle 4 Google presentation will be on view at the Museum from May 22 through July 14.
