Fox Cities P.A.C. Presents its Annual Distinguished Service Awards

By: May. 02, 2011

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center presented its Distinguished Service Awards on Saturday at the Center's annual Chairman's Dinner. The Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals who provide outstanding service to the organization on a volunteer basis, helping the Center become an established part of the community and allowing it to reach new levels of success. The recipients of this year's award are Roger A. Gerard Ph.D., David Gitter and Steve Tyink. Their service will be recognized on a plaque displayed in the Fox Cities P.A.C.'s main lobby.

Roger A. Gerard Ph.D. began working with the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in 2005, applying his experience in executive and management development, process improvement and lean methodologies in strengthening businesses and organizations. He has worked diligently to develop board, staff and volunteer assessment tools for use by the Center, and he continues to volunteer his time at staff retreats and throughout the year as he works with department heads and senior management on professional development.

David Gitter served as a board member at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center from 2004 -2009. Early on, Gitter devoted his efforts to assisting the Center's board and staff in designing a stable and sustainable financial structure for the nonprofit organization. With a strong understanding of economic forces, Gitter's counsel was crucial as the Center successfully weathered the 2008/09 economic crisis and updated the Center's financial structure to better reflect the emerging environment.

Steve Tyink has been a board member of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center for eight years, drawing on his professional expertise in creating innovative customer experiences and experience-based design solutions. Even before his board appointment, Tyink volunteered his knowledge to lead the Center's world-class customer service initiatives, training of front line staff and measuring customer loyalty and satisfaction with innovative surveys. Tyink's expertise has helped the Center establish itself as an industry leader in customer service and evaluation, setting it apart from its competitors with a commitment to excellence.
