December Arts Alive! Series Lights Up the Holidays at the Fox Cities P.A.C.

The Boldt Arts Alive! Series lights up the holiday season at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center this December. First, a community celebration featuring the Fox Valley Symphony, talented soloists and a community choir shines light on the spirit of the season with Handel's Messiah on Saturday, December 11. Later in the month, Cirque Dreams Illumination transforms everyday ordinary into bright and extraordinary with a limited four-performance engagement on Saturday and Sunday, December 18-19.

Tickets are on sale now for Handel's Messiah on Saturday, December 11 and Cirque Dreams Illumination on Saturday and Sunday, December 18 and 19. Tickets can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 982-2787 or the Center's ticket office at (920) 730-3760. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center's ticket office or online at foxcitiespac.com. Groups of 15 or more should call (920) 730-3786. Fox Cities Performing Arts Center Presents
Handel's Messiah
Saturday, December 11, 2010; 7:30 p.m.
Celebrating the holiday season with Handel's most famous work, the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center's production of Messiah under the direction of conductor Brian Groner, brings together professional soloists, a Fox Cities community choir prepared by Austin Boncher and the Fox Valley Symphony. Featuring Handel's first libretto and other famous excerpts, Messiah's universal message of hope and peace will fill you with the spirit of the season. Tickets for Handel's Messiah start at $25.

Cirque Dreams Illumination
Saturday, December 18, 2010; 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, December 19, 2010; 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Journey with fascination into the depths of a city that ignites with illumination when Cirque Dreams' imagination, suspense and theatrical innovation turns everyday ordinary into bright and extraordinary! One of a kind artists populate the streets of this magical metropolis and breathe energy into its landscape with urban acrobatics and phenomenal thrills of disbelief. Audiences of all ages will marvel as city dwellers reinvent familiar objects, balance on wires, leap tall buildings and redefine the risks of flight. Critically acclaimed dazzling costumes come alive to the sounds of jazz, ballroom, pop and more in this original score and has been hailed, "Dazzling! A reason to stand up and cheer," by the New York Daily News. Tickets start at $39.
