Julesworks Follies 39th Edition Set for 9/27
Highlights include:
-Chris Diestler, continues as our Host/Emcee to guide the show. He also wrote an original Dating Game Sketch starring Christine MacKenzie, Ellchemi Ossorio, Diestler, Greg Sonnenfeld & Jules
-Loyal Julesworker Greg Sonnenfeld has crafted an adaption of the famous Jamie Foxx dating show character Wanda from the 90s comedy show In Living Color to fit our era and settings...and an original spoof Wheel of MisFortune.
-Continuing to honour their Monty Python roots, Julesworks Not Monty Python present a tweaked, adapted version of the Python Quiz Show Top of the Form, which also starred Rowan Mr Bean Atkinson and a quick game sketch Take Your Pick.
-Jworks Improving Improved With Spreadsheets melds its signature game for Vaudeville into the Three-Headed QuizMaster.
-Christine MacKenzie & Lexie present an original sketch 'CROOK and TELLER' ((( 'NOT PENN & TELLER ))) which takes place in the early morning hours at a bank where a robbery turns into a hilarious back and forth between a 'wanna be robber' and a teller who plays dumb. The MacKenzie's are loyal Julesworks audience who are also often on stage
-The third edition of our recurring improv sketch Julesworks Revisionist History with this segment being Jules and interviewer Sonnenfeld and also new to launch will be Julesworks Not Newsworthy News Updates (title subject to change).
- And keeping elements in the literary vein that has been part of the show since month one, Julesworks continues the short chatter sketch Chatting with God and Jules might read snippets of their newly published novella Chelsea & Clarence as well as a poem by the far away former Julesworker Leticia Cortez.
-They return to their serialized reading of the BBC RadioPlay of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
-The Julesworks Raffle will be done with audience participation by the Julesworks Version of the famous quiz show Password.
-Other Loyalists who perform as monthly as possible include: storyteller Patrick Chavez with Zoe's Stories, our very own native style storyteller Sylvan Paul , and our resident musician Gregg Turner, and our recurring special guest Westin McDowell, schedule permitting.. Our very special musical guest is a surprise, awaiting confirmation hopefully.
The Open Slot Slot will carry on to possibly allow a quick piece by interested audience members.
