Thinking of taking the plunge and getting married again? Well, Simon Hall (Yon from the group, Tripod), the Second Wedding Singer, who already has much success being a third of Tripod, wants to be your first choice for your second chance at love. Backed by his band, the aptly named, The Brass Ring (The Marion City Band), Hall is available to serenade you through your re-coupling with his soon-to-be hits, such as Guilt is My Engine, and Left Out of a Threesome.

The night started out with promise, as Hall and the band played their way into the Magic Spiegeltent and onto the stage, with Hall randomly picking out a couple of audience members to be our newlywed couple, Johno and Liz, two broken people in love who were giving marriage another shot.

In this show, you are not just an audience member, but a wedding guest, as Hall part ad-libs his way through the evening to encompass all there, whilst encouraging the couple to treat marriage like it is an adventure.

Each song that was performed was an original piece written by Hall, with clever arrangements which suited a brass band perfectly. Hall executed each song brilliantly, and his falsetto voice was great. Complete in a sparkly jacket, he was quite relaxed as he shared with us his views on marriage asking "Could people change? Should they change?"

He was not afraid to tell it like it is as he sang to Liz's ex that She is Somebody Else's Snooky Now, a clever song about pet names and jealousy. Hall is a good story teller as he tells of relationships past and speaks from real life experience.

This show will not have you rolling in the aisles, but is clever and quirky so, if you don't end up with the one of your dreams, and instead end up with your compromise person, then look no further than Hall and The Brass Ring who would be more than happy to play at your second, or third wedding.
