Famed musical theatre actress, Ruthie Henshall, will star in Marguerite, the new musical by Michel Legrand, Alain Boubill and Claude-Michel Schonberg.

The new musical will be part of The Theatre Royal Haymarket's new season under the direction of Jonathan Kent. The show will open on May 6th, 2008.

This new romantic musical, based on Alexandre Dumas fils' La Dame aux Camellias, will be very small scale compared to Boubil and Schonberg's usual big extravaganzas (Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, and most recently, The Pirate Queen). With only a cast of 16, Ruthie will lead the pack and looks forward to creating a new role for the West End.  Henshall is one of thr West End's best loved actress. She has played leads in many London musicals, including Crazy For You, She Loves Me, Chicago and most recently, The Woman In White.

More news is expected soon on this production.
