Edward Norton to Appear on ABC's Modern Family

According to Entertainment Weekly's Ausiello Files, actor Edward Norton has signed on to guest star on Modern Family, a new ABC sitcom.

The site is reporting that Norton will guest star in a November episode which will feature him portraying the bassist of a band that Julie Bowen's Claire hires for a surprise anniversary party for her husband Phil, portrayed by Ty Burrell.

Norton and Burrell are longtime friends, starring on the off-Broadway stage together and also in Norton's film The Incredible Hulk. Modern Family premieres September 23 on ABC.
