HOUSE OF BLAKEWELL'S HOUSE PARTY Comes to Brighton Fringe 2014, Now thru June 1

Following sell-out shows at VAULT Festival in London, Harry Blake and Alice Keedwell are back with HOUSE OF BLAKEWELL'S HOUSE PARTY. The amazing cabaret duo go 'urban' in this exciting all-singing, all-dancing musical revue, filled with their signature selection of toe-tapping, original showstoppers. The show will run at the Marlborough Theatre at Brighton Fringe, today, 2nd, 3rd and 31st May and 1st June 2014, 9pm.

Harry and Alice have moved to Peckham, where they're trying to fit in. Harry has reinvented himself as a hardcore drum 'n' bass producer and Alice is desperate for a new start. They've invited the edgiest crowd south of the river to their housewarming, but the showtune-loving duo struggle to fit in as phat tunes, sick beats and meticulous party plans fall by the wayside. HOUSE OF BLAKEWELL are impressive, operatic, razor-sharp ... like a Noel Coward and Gertrude Lawrence for the modern era (Broadway Baby).

HOUSE OF BLAKEWELL are the winners of the Craig Barbour Award for Song-Writing (Soho Theatre). Their first full-length show BOOK OF BLAKEWELL enjoyed a successful run at the Leicester Square Theatre, Theatre503 and Edinburgh's Underbelly in the summer of 2013. They have also delighted audiences at the King's Head, The Yard and the Musical Comedy Awards with their unique blend of topical, 83% original show tunes, arias, power ballads and more.

HOUSE PARTY is created in collaboration with Associate Director Valentina Ceschi (multi-award- winning Dancing Brick), Choreographer Jennifer Fletcher (The Mostly Everything People), Designer Kate Lane and Sound Designer Helen Skiera. HOUSE OF BLAKEWELL is produced by Vicky Graham for Vicky Graham Productions. HOUSE OF BLAKEWELL'S HOUSE PARTY was developed with the support of Arts Council England and IdeasTap.

HOUSE OF BLAKEWELL'S HOUSE PARTY will appear at Latitude Festival and Bestival this summer. Autumn dates to be announced shortly.

Songwriter Harry Blake first discovered Alice Keedwell's top E under the poorly sanitized arches of the Union Theatre in 2007. Years later, following extreme makeovers, radical lifestyle changes and ongoing therapy, they re-emerged as HOUSE OF BLAKEWELL. They made their debut at Soho Theatre in May 2012 and took home the Craig Barbour Award for songwriting. Since then they have delighted audiences at the Leicester Square Theatre, Edinburgh's Underbelly, the King's Head, Theatre503, The Yard and the Musical Comedy Awards with their unique blend of topical, eighty-three percent original show tunes, arias, power ballads and more.

Harry Blake is a composer, songwriter and musical theatre lover, known chiefly for his remixes of Wagner's Das Rheingold and Mozart's Don Giovanni (Soho Theatre) and his chamber opera Manga Sister (Time Out Pick of 2011). He trained at the Royal Academy of Music. Harry has also composed for the Young Vic, Almeida, Arcola, Southwark Playhouse and Soho Theatre, and has been developing a new musical at the National Theatre Studio.

Alice Keedwell is an actor, actor-musician and singer. She trained at Guildford School of Acting, and most recently performed in The One Hundred and One Dalmatians (Castle Theatre, dir. Luke Sheppard) and in Wind in the Willows (Lord Chamberlain's Men). Alice has also appeared in productions at the Soho Theatre, Union Theatre, Upstairs at the Gatehouse and on TV for Paramount Comedy Shortcuts.
