Broadway's Tory Ross to Join London Premiere of SILENCE! THE MUSICAL, Opening 1/19

Broadway star Tory Ross, most recently seen in 9 to 5, will play the role of detective Clarice Starling in the upcoming London production of SILENCE! THE MUSICAL, a parody of the hit 1991 thriller, "The Silence of the Lambs." Ross joins the previously announced Miles Western for the London run, beginning January 19th at the Above the Stag Theatre, running through February 28th.

Tory Ross made her Broadway debut in Cry-Baby and was soon seen in the Broadway musical, 9 to 5. Ross has been seen in regional productions of Mame, Bat Boy, Moby Dick the Musical, South Pacific, Bells Are Ringing, Brigadoon and Company.

Follow F.B.I. trainee Clarice Starling as she uses her relationship with Dr. Hannibal Lecter to hunt serial killer Buffalo Bill. SILENCE! transforms the film's dialogue into a full-scale musical, complete with singing serial killers, songs with unprintable titles, and a chorus of tap-dancing lambs.

Silence! The Musical will open in London on January 19, 2010. Silence! boasts a book by [title of show]'s Hunter Bell, music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and directed and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli.

Winner of Outstanding Musical FrinceNYC 2005, Silence! transforms the film's dialogue into a full-scale musical, complete with singing serial killers, songs with unprintable titles, and a chorus of tap-dancing lambs.
