BroadwayWorld has s preview of tracks from the upcoming stage premier of CANNIBAL! THE MUSICAL in Toronto at The Panasonic Theatre. The production officially opens February 17th - and is currently on sale through March 8th.

Two more tracks will premier on BroadwayWorld Toronto over the coming weeks, leading up to the show's opening night!

The highly anticipated new production tells the hilarious, and (mostly) true story of Alferd Packer, the only person ever convicted ofcannibalism in America. Based on Parker's fan-favourite film of the same name, Cannibal! The Musical will premiere a brand new production featuring new songs, new jokes, and an all-Canadian cast led by Liam Tobin as Packer (Shrek the Musical, MTC's Next to Normal) and Elicia MacKenzie (The Sound of Music; winner of CBC's How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?) as Polly Pry, Packer's unexpected love interest.

Before South Park and The Book of Mormon, Parker wrote and directed Cannibal! TheMusical over spring break during his time at the University of Colorado. Marking the Canadian theatre event of the season, Trey Parker's Cannibal! The Musical comes to Toronto as a theatrical sensation that bears all the hallmarks of a Parker-Stone collaboration: juvenile humour, complete irreverence and the slaughter of innocents. Full of songs, dance and laughs, this production will mark the world premiere of a re-vamped show featuring additional book, lyrics and music by Christopher Bond (Evil Dead - TheMusical!), Aaron Eyre and Trevor Martin.

With songs like "Shpadoinkle" and "Hang the Bastard," this parody of classic American musicals fuses the style of stage classics like Oklahoma! with Friday the Thirteenth Part 2into one pleasantly vulgar and deliberately cheesy gem. It's country western, meets court room drama, meets survival story, meets laugh out loud fun!

"I've been a long-time Trey Parker fan, and when I saw the film version of Cannibal! TheMusical I loved it," said Bond, co-creator and director. "As fans of the original, we've made sure to stay true to its campy spirit, while adding more goofs and hilarious songs. It's allowed us to bring something new to the stage that has the same vintage Trey Parker wit. Now with our stellar cast - a range of talented comedians and musical theatre pros - we've got the perfect group to bring this creation to life."

Cannibal! The Musical follows five miners from Utah (Martin, Nahrgang, Andrada, Adams and Porter) who embark on a treacherous journey to stake their claim on land in the Colorado Territory. Led by their reluctant guide, Alferd Packer (Tobin), the group encounters trappers, natives and a whole lot of tom-foolery before losing their way in the Rocky Mountains. When they are found days later, Alferd is the only one left standing, and the Sheriff arrests him for cannibalism - but what really happened out on them there mountains? Intrepid reporter Polly Pry (MacKenzie) is determined to tell the REAL story... that is, if she doesn't fall in love with the unsuspecting Packer first.

Check out the song "MEAT MY DESTINY" below!
One of five new featured songs written for the show this gospel-inspired duet by Christopher Bond, Aaron Eyre and Trevor Martin, is performed by Alferd and his guardian Angel (Liam Tobin and Elicia MacKenzie). Alferd and his mining pals are lost and starving in the Rockies when he realizes that perhaps his destiny is to sacrifice himself for the group.
