Squabbalogic to Stage MYSTERY MUSICAL #2

From the team behind smash-hit productions CARRIE THE MUSICAL, MAN OF LA MANCHA and most recently, TRIASSIC PARQ - Squabbalogic will present a cryptic and fun filled evening of musical theatre with MYSTERY MUSICAL #2 on Friday 7th August at the Seymour Centre.

A fundraiser with a difference, MYSTERY MUSICAL #2 follows on from the success of Squabbalogic's first Mystery Musical in January, BYE BYE BIRDIE, which raised in excess of $10,000 for the company. Raising the bar even higher this time, Squabbalogic hopes to secure a target of $30,000 to contribute to their 2015-16 season.

MYSTERY MUSICAL #2 promises to bring to life a show that has long been waiting in the wings and will feature a cast of Squabbalogic's regular artists and special guests, expertly accompanied on piano by accomplished musical director and arranger Paul Geddes (The Drowsy Chaperone, Man of La Mancha).

The incredible cast will include Geraldine Turner (Chicago, Anything Goes), Simon Burke (The Sound of Music, Holding the Man), Ali Calder (Wicked, Legally Blonde), Laura Murphy (Grease, A New Brain), Edward Grey (Wicked, Legally Blonde), Phillip Lowe (The Producers, Blood Brothers), Tom Sharah (It's Raining Me, The Drowsy Chaperone) and Dean Vince (Sondheim on Sondheim, Love Never Dies).

"Our last Mystery Musical was a real surprise - not just the show, but how much fun was had by both the audience and the cast," said artistic director of Squabbalogic, Jay James-Moody.

"We can't wait to step it up this time with a show that has possibly my favourite book of a musical performed by the likes of Simon Burke and Geraldine Turner. It's a travesty in particular we've never seen Geraldine play this role so I'm happy to change that, even if it's only for one night!"

Prior to the MYSTERY MUSICAL #2 performance, the audience will be provided with a special first look at the stellar 2015-16 Squabbalogic season.
