Jenny Morris and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy are pleased to announce the return of the highly anticipated, and wonderfully eclectic, Art of Music Live, at The Studio at the Sydney Opera House on Thursday 4 May, 2017.

Every two years an event comes along that delivers to its audience a "money can't buy" experience like no other to raise funds for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy.

Curated by the immensely talented Jenny Morris, Art of Music Live brings together an amazing array of talented performers under the sails of Sydney's iconic Opera House.

The performers showcase their unique take on some of Australian music's most loved songs and no two concerts are ever the same. These once only performances are created specifically for Art of Music Live. For lovers of unique concert experiences and great Australian music in a fantastic location, there is no other event of its kind.

This year's event sees the tradition continue and Art of Music Live is excited to announce Neil Finn, Megan Washington and Jack Carty will be among the performers on the night.

Neil Finn said "Art of Music, it's a wonderful idea when art is made, music played and everyone benefits. I look forward to the next one"

All proceeds from Art Of Music Live go to Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapywho transform lives through music. We all know how powerful music is in our day-to-day lives, but it is even more powerful in a therapeutic environment. Nordoff-Robbins have given children speech, when they were told they would never speak. It has given people motor skills, when they were told they would never be able to move their arms again. And it has given new life to the elderly struggling with Dementia. The power of music truly has no boundaries.

Jenny Morris said today, "Music therapy and its promotion is a passion of mine. It is powerful and it changes lives. I am incredibly proud to see how the Art of Music events have gone from strength to strength over the past 10 years and to see them raise over a million dollars (and still counting) for music therapy. Art of Music relies on the generosity of the artists and musicians, to whom I am eternally grateful. It blows me away every time to see how readily they agree to support the cause. Art of Music Live promises you a unique musical experience - Sit back and enjoy their artistry, and at the same time know you are helping to raise much needed funds to support Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and their vital work in the community"

Art Of Music Live is an extension of the overwhelmingly successful Art of Music series which sees prominent contemporary visual artists from Australia and New Zealand come together to create a uniquely music inspired exhibition with each artist choosing an iconic piece of Australian music, using it as inspiration for their own original artwork, culminating in the Art of MusicCharity Auction and a sumptuous Gala Dinner, with special guests and live entertainment.

Ticket cost: $195 per ticket. Tickets to this special event go on sale at9.00am on Thursday, 30 March from www.artofmusic.com.au.
