In the beginning of Bobby and Joyce's marriage, Joyce was a woman full of fire, energy and love; however, after suffering a miscarriage, she finds it very difficult to cope with her loss and does not admit her feelings to her husband. She covers up her grief by turning to drugs. Bobby, although still in love with his wife, is now feeling left out of the marriage. Despite Bobby's numerous attempts of rekindling the flames in their marriage, Joyce's depression gets worse. Bobby finds himself frequently visiting the local bar, Larry's Place, where he meets Shantell, a beautiful young woman who appears to be in need of the same thing of which he longs for - LOVE and ATTENTION. Bobby now has to decide if his craving for such love and attention is worth abandoning his family.
