The Human Race Theatre Company, Dayton's only professional regional theatre company, launches its 28th season next September with a richly diverse 6-play combination of productions on its Eichelberger Loft Series. 'Selecting the season is one of the hardest, yet most exciting parts of my job,' says Producing Artistic DirectorKevin Moore. 'Thanks to a wonderful committee of readers, I am able to hand select just the right shows for our audience. It's a season for everyone, with something old and something new; something funny, and something blue.'

The season two finale of "Something New' has been released digitally today on iTunes, Stitcher, and TuneIn. On August 25th, the musical theatre podcast went to 54 Below to wrap up the season with a special live concert. Award-winning songwriter and host Joel B. East West Players (EWP), the nation's longest running professional theatre of color and the largest producer of Asian American artistic work, led a candid discussion on race politics in the American theatre on Monday, October 22, 2012, at East West Players David Henry Hwang Theater in Little Tokyo Los Angeles. On November 19th the stars of Canadian theatre, film, TV and music came out in support of the 10th Anniversary of It's Always Something, a variety show to raise money for Gilda's Club. Pacific Stages will follow up their debut production of Lobby Hero with the world premiere of Something Happened, by award-winning playwright L. Trey Wilson. Something Happened runs April 1 through May 16 at Pacific Stages in El Segundo and will be directed by L. Trey Wilson. The press opening begins April 8 and there will be an opening reception Saturday, April 10.

This groundbreaking monologue about homeland security, created and performed by Mike Daisey and directed by Jean-Michele Gregory, will run through Tuesday, November 30 with an official press opening on Monday, October 27
