Feinstein's at Loews Regency is currently hosting Scott Siegel's BROADWAY HOOTENANNY, which features different stars performing different songs every Thursday night at 11pm. Created, produced and hosted by Scott Siegel, the show features musical direction by Jesse Kissel. Now approaching its third week, casts have included Larry Gatlin, William Michals, Jon Fletcher, Claybourne Elder, Jamie deRoy, Courtney Simmons and Paul Pontrelli. It was just announced today that the next installment will feature Alice Ripley (Next To Normal), Joan Almedilla (Miss Saigon), Drama Desk Nominee Christina Bianco (Forbidden Broadway, Newsical: The Musical), and more.

The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents and marketing firms, presented the inaugural Off Broadway Alliance Awards Reception yesterday, June 21, 2011 at Sardi's. Honorees were on hand to receive their awards and Romulus Linney, Ellen Stewart and Lanford Wilson were posthumously inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame. Last night, May 23, the 2011 Drama Desk Awards Ceremony took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan. The Book of Mormon, Anything Goes, War Horse and The Normal Heart were the night's big winners, with favorites Sutton Foster, Norbert Leo Butz, Bobby Cannavale, Frances McDormand, Laura Benanti, John Larroquette, Brian Bedford and Edie Falco taking home the evening's top performance honors. Two-time Drama Desk nominee Leslie Kritzer, whose Broadway credits include Sondheim on Sondheim, A Catered Affair, Legally Blonde and Hairspray, will join the cast of Newsical: Full Spin Ahead beginning March 25, 2011. She steps in for Christine Pedi, who has injured her ankle. Kritzer will perform through April 23. Pedi will return on April 24.
