Carpenter will play a limited engagement in LES MIZ through Sunday, October 3 during Will Swenson's previously announced hiatus from the production. The cast of EVITA, including Ricky Martin, Michael Cerveris and Elena Roger performed 'Buenos Aires' and 'High Flying Adored' on this morning's 'Good Morning America'. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford, EVITA opened April 5, 2012 at The Marquis Theatre.

Happy Birthday, Elaine Paige! Paige was selected to play Eva Perón in the first production of Evita in 1978, which brought her to the attention of the broader public. She went on to originate the role of Grizabella in Cats and had a Top 10 hit with 'Memory', a song from the show. She then appeared in the original stage production of Chess, followed by a starring role in Anything Goes which she also co-produced. Paige made her Broadway debut in Sunset Boulevard in 1996, playing the lead role of Norma Desmond, to critical acclaim. She appeared in The King and I from 2000 to 2001, and six years later she returned to the West End stage in The Drowsy Chaperone. Most recently, she starred in Follies on Broadway.

HUGH JACKMAN, BACK ON BROADWAY begins previews on October 25, and in celebration of the Tony-winner's return the the Great White Way, BroadwayWorld will feature a daily countdown of his greatest performances! Tony Award winner Alice Ripley is prepping a new solo recording for Sh-K-Boom Records, the same label that released her 2000 debut album Everything's Fine and the acclaimed original cast recording of Next to Normal. Daily Practice: Volume 1 will feature acoustic covers of songs from artists like Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Carole King, Alanis Morissette, Carly Simon and U2. 'It's a collection of songs that I play every day,' Ripley told Broadway.com in an exclusive chat about the new CD. 'I pick up my guitar every day, especially at times where I don't know where I am or who I am. My guitar reminds me... Reminds me of why I wanted to sing and who I am and what I have to say.'

Theatre icon Elaine Paige, the 'Queen of West End Musicals' who has created the roles of Eva Peron in 'Evita,' Grizabella in 'Cats,' Florence in 'Chess' and Edith Piaf in 'Piaf' and had a triumphant debut on Broadway in 1996 as Norma Desmond in 'Sunset Boulevard,' signed copies of her autobiography, 'Memories,' on Wednesday, September 22, at the Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle store. Elaine Paige is celebrating her illustrious career with a concert DVD entitled 'Elaine Page - Celebrating 40 Years On Stage'. The video shows material from a concert stop on Paige's 40th Anniversary Tour. The concert, entitled 'Live in Australia,' was filmed during the New Zealand/Australian tour that took place earlier this year. This specific concert took place on October 31st, 2009.
