In an all-new TV spot, Sylvester Stallone, screenwriter of the Oscar-winning Best Picture ROCKY tells audiences why he thinks the new Broadway production based on the film is a must-see.

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was presented earlier this week in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District celebrated Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a live 12-piece orchestra. ROCKY, which opened Thursday, March 13th at the historic Winter Garden Theatre, stars Andy Karl as Rocky, Margo Seibert as Adrian (making her Broadway debut), and Terence Archie as Apollo Creed. Even the Broadway fans who have not yet made it to the Winter Garden Theatre have still heard all about the final, climactic fight sequence, and you can go behind the scenes of the epic finale below!

The new original Broadway cast recording of ROCKY will be released on May 27th, 2014, and the show just revealed a preview of five tracks from the album. Click below to get a first listen!

ROCKY hit Broadway Thursday night, officially opening with stars Andy Karl and Margo Seibert at Broadway's historic Winter Garden Theatre. The show features an original score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens and a book by Thomas Meehan and Sylvester Stallone, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the 1976 Oscar-winning Best Picture, Rocky.The production is directed by Alex Timbers, with choreography by Steven Hoggett, and Kelly Devine.
