Last Saturday night The cast of JERSEY BOYS welcomed THE LAST SHIP to Broadway. So last night, the cast of THE LAST SHIP serenaded their neighbor on 52nd street with a rendition of Lionel Richie's 'All Night Long' led by 16-time GrammyAward-winner Sting.

Following last night's preview performance of The Last Ship on Broadway, the show's composer and lyricist Sting came onstage for a birthday surprise (he turned 63 yesterday). Watch him sing 'Jock The Singing Welder' below!

THE LAST SHIP -- the new musical with music and lyrics by 16-time Grammy Award-winner Sting and book by Tony Award-winner John Logan and Pulitzer Prize-winner Brian Yorkey -- will begin previews September 29 on Broadway, prior to opening night on October 26. The Last Ship is directed by Tony Award-winner Joe Mantello and choreographed by Olivier Award-winner and Tony Award-nominee Steven Hoggett. Musical direction, orchestrations and arrangements are by Emmy Award-winning and multi Grammy-nominated producer Rob Mathes. Check out a just-released commercial for the new musical below!

The Last Ship, with an original score by 16-time Grammy Award® winner Sting, will have its pre-Broadway World Premiere at Chicago's Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe) from June 10 - July 13, 2014. The Last Ship will open on Broadway in the fall of 2014. An epic yet intimate tale inspired by Sting's own childhood experiences, this World Premiere production features direction by two-time Tony Award® winner Joe Mantello (Wicked), a book by Tony Award® winner John Logan (Red) and Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award® winner Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal) and choreography by Olivier Award winner and Tony Award® Nominee Steven Hoggett (Once). Legendary musician Sting, author of the Broadway-bound musical THE LAST SHIP, has released his 14th album of the same name. Many of the tracks from the new LP will be featured in the highly-anticipated stage production, set to hit Broadway in 2014 after a try-out run in Chicago.

Sting discusses his upcoming full-length album of new music, 'The Last Ship' consists of songs that he has written for a new musical of the same name which will head to Broadway in 2014.
