As part of Boulder Arts Week, The Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts will present "Misterman." "Misterman" opens at the Dairy Center for the Arts at 2590 Walnut Street in Boulder on March 26, 2015 and runs through April 3, 2015 (No performance March 31.) All performances are at 8:00 p.m., with the exception of the 4:00 p.m. matinee on March 29. There will also be a special Industry Night performance on March 30 at 8:00 p.m. All performances will also be followed by a talkback. This is the final stop before the production relocates to New York for the fall of 2015. Press tickets are available for press night March 27. (more...)

A luscious new 4K digital restoration of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger's 1951 Technicolor film TALES OF HOFFMAN (in English) will be screened at The Cinefamily, March 13 - 19. This new restoration is supervised by Martin Scorsese and Oscar winning editor Thelma Schoonmaker, wife of director Powell and Scorsese's longtime film editor, and contains eight minutes of never before seen footage along with newly restored footage not seen since the 1951 release. There's often so much going on, so much quick-moving action, doors opening and closing, characters literally running from place to place, that it can easily devolve into a confused mess. And there are usually so many witty retorts and double entendres, also often delivered very quickly, that they can sometimes be missed altogether. The highlight of our early spring program was the well-received, inaugural Art Central Hong Kong Fair last month, on the harbor front in beautiful Hong Kong. Connecting with an impressive mix of Asian and European collectors and curators, including those from Beijing's White Box Museum of Art and Inside Out Museum, conversations were focused primarily on regional, noted artists, Liangong Feng, Shen Chen and Caroline Cheng. Concurrent with our art fair presence, the gallery has two public and private commissions currently underway in Asia. The CYNTHIA-REEVES team will be back in Hong Kong this month to complete an installation that has been in production for the past year. (more...)
