STOMP, the award winning international sensation, is a unique combination of percussion, movement and visual comedy. What kind of stage show do you get when you take random everyday objects--from plastic bags and basketballs, to brooms and garbage cans--and strike them every which way to create a symphony of percussion? Well, unless you've been buried under a giant scrap heap for the past few decades, then you'll no doubt know about (or at least have heard of) the show STOMP, that odd, hyper-kinetic novelty act that combines non-stop percussive beats with light choreography and G-rated humor. Its latest touring company is currently bringing in the noise--and, yep, the funk--to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts' Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa through October 14.

See the cast of the international hit STOMP take a sledgehammer to their dressing rooms this weekend along with George Oliphant when his crew from 'George to the Rescue' visits their New York base at The Orpheum Theatre and gives their home away from home a makeover. STOMP will be featured on WNBC- TV's (Channel 4) popular feature "Talk Stoop" this Saturday February 11 on "Saturday Today in New York" in the 6:30 AM half-hour, at 1:30AM on Saturday night (actually very early Sunday February 12th), and again on Sunday at 12:30pm.

Last night on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,' Jimmy invited STOMP to perform with him and the legendary Paul Simon on his classic, 'Cecilia.' Following the performance Jimmy said that he'd had a dream with STOMP and Paul Simon, but that he was never in it.
