TVGuide reports that Johnny Lewis, star of the popular FX drama series SONS OF ANARCHY was found dead in the driveway of the L.A. home of an elderly woman who appears to be the victim of a homicide. The body of the unidentified woman was found inside the home. According to police reports, Lewis' death may have been caused by a fall, possibly from the stairway, balcony or roof of the home. Also, director David Cromer announced partial casting for his production of Sweet Bird of Youth: Oscar, Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award-nominee Diane Lane appears as Princess Kosmonopolis and Finn Wittrock, who recently appeared in Broadway's Death of a Salesman with Philip Seymour Hoffman, is cast as the young-actor-turned-gigolo Chance Wayne. Hundreds of Newsies fans (affectionately known as Fansies) attended the special Newsies Fan Day reception, talk-back and performance on Sunday, October 2nd at Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ. The event sold out, weeks in advance, but hundreds of lucky fans had their childhood dreams come true. Along with the entire stage cast, members of the original movie cast and creative team participated in the event including: Gabriel Damon (Spot Conlon), Luke Edwards (Les Jacobs), Shon Greenblatt (Oscar Delancy), Arvie Lowe Jr. (Boots), David Moscow (Davey), David Sheinkoph (Morris Delancy), David Sidoni (Pie Eater), Kevin Stey (Swifty), David Moscow (Davey), Jack Feldman (Librettist), Ms Noni White (Screenwriter), Jeff Calhoun (Stage Director) and the film's director and choreographer Mr. Kenny Ortega. With clever gender reversals and surprising twists of fate, As You Like It has long been considered one of Shakespeare's most romantic comedies. According tot he NJ.com, nine theatre-goers were asked to leave during intermission of Paper Mill Playhouse's NEWSIES last week due to 'unruly behavior.' Theatre representative Shayne Miller commented on the incident: 'There was an altercation, something about poking another patron in the back. Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee- Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director) will host a Newsies Fan Day at the Millburn theater on Sunday, October 2nd. Newsies Fan Day is an opportunity for Newsies fans nationwide to celebrate this cult phenomenon. Participants will have the opportunity to attend a Newsies Fan Reception at 5pm in the Renee Foosaner Art Gallery on the campus of Paper Mill Playhouse. At 6:00pm, there will be a Newsies Cast Talk-Back where both the stage cast and members of the film cast will discuss Newsies. The Newsies Fan Package costs $25 and includes: the Newsies Fan Reception, Newsies Cast Talk-Back and a Newsies gift. To participate in Newsies Fan Day, you must hold a ticket to the Newsies fan performance at 7:00pm on Sunday, October 2nd, sold separately. Radio Disney will be on campus to join in the festivities. Those opening lyrics to Cole Porter's classic musical had double meaning at Friday night's opening performance of Runaway Stage Productions' "Kiss Me Kate." Loco7 is celebrating their 25th Anniversary season this year.
