Actors Co-Op (Ovation Winner 2014 Best Production of a Musical (Intimate Theatre) has announced its 26th Season of shows! Opening with Patrick Barlow's great piece of theatrical fun, based on the mystery thriller revised as a farce THE 39 STEPS; followed by the beloved Kaufman and Hart comedy classic THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER. In 2018 we will take A WALK IN THE WOODS by Lee Blessing; followed by Robert Bolts' 'must see' historical drama A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS; the 2017 - 2018 Season closes with the multi-award winning powerhouse musical VIOLET, book and lyrics Brian Crawley, music by Jeanine Tesori.

Sitting in Rec Room's intimate bar across the hall from the performance space, artistic director Matt Hune explains: 'We want to showcase the epic in a small space; to bring opera to people who would never go to the opera or ballet to people who would never see a ballet. American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Artistic Director Carey Perloff announced today the final four productions that will comprise the lineup of the company's 2017-18 subscription season. The 2017-18 season marks the 25th anniversary of Perloff's arrival at A.C.T.; the longtime artistic director recently announced she would depart following the 2017-18 season.

The Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, DC's LGBT themed production of the classic musical 'How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying' will premiere at the Lincoln Theatre in DC on March 10, 11 & 12, 2017 at located at 1215 U Street NW. This is the first LGBT production of 'How To Succeed' to date. Famous songs like 'I Believe in You,' 'Happy to Keep His Dinner Warm' and 'Brotherhood of Man.' all appear in their original composition, just with a little more glitter!
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying tells the story of J. Pierrepont Finch and his rise to the top of the corporate ladder with the aid of a simple self-help book. Along the way, he learns how to find your name on the executive door and win the secretary's heart quicker than you can say "nepotism." I had an absolutely wonderful conversation with the show's director and the organization's artistic director Thea Kano about her background and why this production is so important.
