Rubicon Theatre Company has announced the cast and creative team for the World Premiere of THE BEST IS YET TO COME: THE MUSIC OF CY COLEMAN, which began previews July 9 at Rubicon's intimate 200-seat home at 1006 E. The Marriott Theatre, known for reenergizing the classics, showcasing new works, and delivering smash hits directly from Broadway, announces its 35th Anniversary 2010 Season. In 35 years, the theatre has presented more than 135 productions to an estimated 7 million people and currently has more subscribers than any other regional theatre in the nation. Following an acclaimed 2009 season, The Marriott Theatre will present the international phenomenon Fiddler on the Roof, previewing February 17th, opening February 24th, running through April 25th; the regional premiere of the recent Broadway sensation The Drowsy Chaperone, previewing April 28th, opening May 5th, running through June 27th; the effervescent Caribbean musical fairytale Once on This Island, previewing June 30th, opening July 7th, running through August 29th; the multi-Tony Award winning musical A Chorus Line, previewing September 1st, opening September 8th, running through October 31st, 2010; and the beloved classic The Music Man, previewing November 3rd, opening November 10th, and running through January 9th, 2011.

EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL Gets Extended By 3 Weekends At The Beck Center, Ends 7/5

Due to its overwhelming popularity, Evil Dead: The Musical's run will be extended by three weekends. Originally scheduled to close on June 14, the show will now end Sunday, July 5 (no performance on July 4). Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 7 p.m. Sundays. A special 11 p.m. performance will replace the 8 p.m. performance on Friday, June 19. Rush tickets are not available for this show.

The June 15th benefit concert staging of Jekyll & Hyde at New York Society for Ethical Culture will feature two songs not heard in the show's initial Broadway bow. Bring on the Men, which was replaced by Good and Evil for the show's 1500+ performance run at the Plymouth Theater, was re-inserted into the show following the original Broadway production. Girls of the Night, which was cut out of town, is being included by special permission from the authors.

This production of the classic, Tony Award® winning musical gives Cleveland audiences a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see Jerome Robbins' original Broadway direction and choreography, complete with the original West End production and 1971 film's star, CHAIM TOPOL, in the role of Tevye.
