MARCH 10, 2015: A new title has been added to Goodspeed Musicals' 2015 main stage season. A Wonderful Life, adapted from the beloved Frank Capra film “It's A Wonderful Life,” will begin this fall. Featuring book and lyrics by Tony, Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winner Sheldon Harnick and music by Grammy and Emmy Award winner Joe Raposo, this musical is sure to captivate theater-goers. A Wonderful Life will replace the previously announced production of The Honeymooners. This past November, Goodspeed presented a workshop of the show in New York where the authors and creative team were able to work on and see the show fully staged for the first time. Since then, Goodspeed has been told that the show is ready for Broadway. (more...)

My Fair Lady is a musical based upon George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe (Camelot). The story concerns Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl who takes speech lessons from professor Henry Higgins, a phoneticist, so that she may pass as a proper lady.
