They are joined by a thirteen-piece band (Michael Rafter, Music Director), playing new orchestrations by Tony Award winner Jonathan Tunick. Larry Moss directs, with musical staging by Joshua Bergasse ("Smash"). Carolyn Wong provides lighting design, with sound design by Leon Rothenberg and projection design by Telegraphicmedia.

The Hangar Theatre's Pilot Reading Series in NYC continues with a reading of Seeing Jerusalem, a new play by Seth Greenland. The New Amsterdam Singers, led by music director Clara Longstreth, will present the final concert of the season, titled Songs of Birds and Angels on Thursday, May 31 at 8 p.m at Saint Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church at 552 West End Avenue at 87th Street. The work that inspired the program's focus on birds is Steven Stucky's cycle, Skylarks, (2001), which is receiving its New York City premiere on this concert. Also receiving its New York City premiere is Matthew Harris' Shakespeare Songs, Book VI (2006).

Mitri and Dorothy Berloni are developing BECAUSE OF WINN-DIXIE, a new Broadway musical based on the popular 2000 novel by Kate DeCamillo. Casting for a developmental reading is currently underway and set to take place in early March. This is set to be followed by an out of town engagement and Broadway production, the timing of which will be confirmed at a later date.

This production also marks the second Hollinger production at FST, after the critically-acclaimed production of Opus during the 2008/09 season. Ghost-Writer closes on the Keating Theatre stage on May 29.

KPFK, Pacifica Radio for Southern California, presents the Arts in Review Holiday Special, airing Wednesday, December 22 (2 to 3pm), hosted by arts journalist Julio Martinez. Presented annually since 1993, this special broadcast features Dylan Thomas's A Child's Christmas in Wales, read by Al Alu, and the premiere of the radio drama, The Nutcracker's Journey, featuring the Arts in Review Repertory Players. Musical artists include Mara Purl, Marilyn Harris and AnnaMaria Padilla.
