Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce that Confessions of a Mormon Boy, a special Mainstage Season bonus production, is now in rehearsal. Confessions of a Mormon Boy is written and performed by Outer Critics Circle Award Nominee Steven Fales and directed by Bay Street Theater's Artistic Director, Scott Schwartz. The one-man play will have five showings only from July 17 - July 22 and is Part 1 in Fales' new Mormon Boy Trilogy. Performances will be held on Tuesday, July 17 at 7 pm; Thursday, July 19 at 5 pm for a special Twilight Performance; Friday, July 20 at 8 pm; Saturday, July 21 at 5 pm for a second Twilight Performance; and Sunday, July 22 at 2 pm. After a successful run in Central Park, playing to over 4,000 people, performances resume on Wednesday, June 27 in Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City for New York Classical Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Romeo and Juliet, directed by the company's Founding Artistic Director Stephen Burdman. The production will play this week through June 30, before continuing on to The Battery, Carl Schurz Park, and Brooklyn Bridge Park for performances through July 29. Free For All, one of the capital's cherished annual traditions, will return this summer to Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), offering two weeks of free performances of the Company's 2016 production of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. Directed by STC Associate Artistic Director Alan Paul, whose hit production of Camelot has extended through July 8 due to popular demand, the production will run at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F St NW) from August 21-September 2, providing more than 12,000 people the chance to see the play free of charge.

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Arthur Miller was renowned and celebrated for his masterpiece DEATH OF A SALESMAN, as well as ALL MY SONS and THE CRUCIBLE, plays in which issues of morality took center stage. He refused to name names when called before the House Un-American Activities Committee, spoke out agains the Vietnam War, and was an activist in many social causes, allowing him to be seen as the moral conscience of the nation. However, Bernard Weinraub reveals Miller's feet of clay in the world premiere of his play FALL, directed by Peter DuBois at Huntington Theatre Company's Calderwood Pavilion.

New York Classical Theatre (Stephen Burdman, Artistic Director), New York City's only all-free professional Off-Broadway theatre company, is pleased to announce a new production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to celebrate its 19th Anniversary Season. The production, directed by Mr. Burdman, is the company's first staging of Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers, and will be presented in five New York City parks - Central Park, Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City, The Battery, Carl Schurz Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park - with performances from June 5 through July 29 at 7:00 PM. There is no ticketing, and all performances are free and open to the public. New York Classical Theatre also invites audiences to experience unique behind-the-scenes access to open rehearsals on selected dates for each of the five park stagings. 

Ensemble for the Romantic Century (Eve Wolf, Executive Artistic Director) is proud to announce that the cast Tchaikovsky: None but the Lonely Heart, the final production of the 2017-'18 season, at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between Dyer and 10th Avenues) beginning May 17th. The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Xian Zhang close the 2017–18 season with a blockbuster program featuring works by Brahms, Mahler and Bernstein, June 7–10 in Newark and Red Bank. Lauded violinist Gil Shaham returns to New Jersey for Brahms' Violin Concerto. In her first NJSO performances of Mahler's work, Zhang conducts the composer's monumental First Symphony.

Washington National Opera (WNO), led by Artistic Director Francesca Zambello, announces its 2018-2019 season, one that continues its focus on bold productions of classic operas, fascinating contemporary perspectives, and the best in American artistry.
