Wilks Artistic Director of Cincinnati Opera, today announced that Cincinnati Opera will present the United States premiere of Another Brick in the Wall-The Opera, based on Roger Waters's legendary album The Wall, in celebration of the company's return to Cincinnati Music Hall for its 2018 Summer Festival. Calgary-based Honens today announced details of its 2018 Piano Competition. Pianists of all nationalities, aged 20 to 30 on August 30, 2018, with the exception of past Honens Laureates and professionally managed artists, may apply starting February 1, 2017. The application deadline is October 31, 2017. The Competition's Quarterfinals take place in Berlin and New York in March 2018. Semifinals and Finals take place in Calgary from August 30 to September 8, 2018.

The Organization of American States (OAS) AMA | Art Museum of the Americas presents Atmospheres and Entropy: Works on paper by Catalina Chervin, an exhibition curated by Susanna V. Temkin as part of AMA's F Street Gallery program showcasing young and emerging artists of OAS member countries. AMA is part of the OAS's Secretariat for Hemispheric Affair, and its work is based on the principle that the arts are transformative for individuals and communities, as visual components reflecting the four pillars of the OAS: democracy, human rights, security and development.
