Broadway In Chicago has announced that TO MASTER THE ART, by William Brown and Doug Frew, will host post-show Q&A discussions with Chicago's own award-winning chefs and renowned restaurant professionals at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut). Created to celebrate the continuing influence of Julia Child as well as Chicago's own thriving restaurants, special guests will share stories from their own experiences and how Julia Child inspired them in the food industry.

THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW, the new syndicated late-night talk show with host Arsenio Hall, was the No. 1 late-night talk show on broadcast TV in the key audience demographic of Adults 18-49, in its first week on air, September 9 to 13. The CBS Television Distribution talk show also landed in a photo finish for No. 1 with 'The Tonight Show' among Adults 25-54 according to Nielsen Station Index (NSI) Local People Meter (LPM) overnight ratings. Nielsen national syndication ratings for the week are not scheduled to be available until Tuesday, September 24.

Veteran Las Vegas performer Steve Connolly stars as the legendary Elvis Presley in the stage production SPIRIT OF THE KING, which premiered March 6 for an open-ended engagement in the Cascade Lounge of the Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs. Dubbed "The hardest working KING in show biz," Steve Connolly has performed as Elvis Presley more than 4,000 times in his career and was chosen by the Las Vegas Review Journal's staff as "Best Elvis in Las Vegas" in 2006 and 2007. I had the chance sit down recently with Mr. Connolly to talk about his career and "all things Elvis". He was charming, funny, charismatic -- and, holds "The King" and his legacy in great reverence. From the tiny land of Who-Ville to the Jungle of Nool, Seuss's timeless tales leap from page to stage. Seussical first opened on Broadway in the fall of 2000. In 2004, it was reworked by Theatreworks USA, streamlining the story and retooling some of the songs and dialogue. The new version has enjoyed huge success across two US tours, a run in London's West End, and in children's theaters across the country, including NWCT, which previously produced the show in 2006. The Alhambra Theatre & Dining will be rocking southern style when it opens it 2013 campaign with the renowned Johnny Cash tribute show, 'Ring of Fire, the Johnny Cash Musical Show.' The show features eight actors and a four-piece live band, bringing theatrical life to Cash's classic story songs. A true tribute to the man and his music, the show does not actually feature an actor playing Cash, who died in 2003, but it does chronicle his most-interesting life - from his debut at the Grand Ole Opry to Folsom County Prison and back to stardom. The show opened in 2006 at Broadway's Barrymore Theatre.
