Forty-one years after The Living Theatre's now legendary performance of Paradise Now at Yale Repertory Theatre in September 1968, which ended in the arrest of ten performers and audience members for public indecency, co-founder and Artistic Director Judith Malina returns to New Haven for a two-day residency at Yale School of Drama, September 14-15.

Ken Davenport, producer of the Broadway hits Blithe Spirit and Speed-the-Plow, and the Off-Broadway hits Altar Boyz, My First Time, and The Awesome 80s Prom, and a recent Tony Award nominee for Will Ferrell?s You?re Welcome America, today proudly announces that Leslie Arden will write the score for the new musical, Somewhere in Time (www.somewhereintimethemusical.com), based on the novel by Richard Matheson and the Universal film, which starred Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. Mr. Matheson and Mr. Davenport will collaborate on the book. Stafford Arima, currently represented by Altar Boyz at New World Stages, will direct.

Signature Theatre Company (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) is pleased to announce that the theatre's 20th Anniversary season in 2010-2011, celebrating author Tony Kushner, will feature the first New York revival of Kushner's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning epic work, ANGELS IN AMERICA: A GAY FANTASIA ON NATIONAL THEMES. The production will be directed by Michael Greif with Part One: MILLENNIUM APPROACHES and Part Two: PERESTROIKA presented in repertory. Signature's Tony Kushner season will also include two more works to be announced.

First Look Repertory of New Work runs July 22 - August 9, 2009 in The Merle Reskin Garage Theatre, 1624 N. Halsted St. All tickets are $20.

Five-time Grammy-winner Faith Hill makes her Hollywood Bowl debut with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and fellow Grammy-winner, conductor David Campbell, for a special evening of music from the iconic performer?s multi-platinum recording career, Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, at 8:30 p.m. The first half of the concert, performed by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra (HBO), features an unexpected mix of movie scores and other eclectic selections chosen by Campbell and Hill. No strangers to each other, Hill and Campbell?s previous collaborations include her 2002 release, Cry, Christmas CD, Joy to the World, and Hill?s recording of the Oscar-nominated ?There You?ll Be,? from the Pearl Harbor soundtrack, arranged and conducted by Campbell. The Broadway League mourns the loss of Rodger McFarlane, the founding executive director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and a pioneer in the fight for gay and lesbian civil rights and the HIV/AIDS movements. He passed away in New Mexico on Friday.

Since its creation in 1998, PPF has grown into one of the most important festivals of new scripts in the United States. This year?s Festival will take place during the May 1 through May 3 weekend and will feature five staged readings and two fully-produced World Premieres on South Coast Repertory?s Segerstrom and Julianne Argryos Stages. The West End theatre community joined in mourning the sudden loss of Natasha Richardson, who died Wednesday, March 18th at age 45. The BBC reports that theatre venues in London's West End dimmed their lights this evening in tribute to the late Richardson.
