Roundabout's world premiere of Belber's "McReele" to star Anthony Mackie

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is proud to announce that Anthony Mackie will star in the world premiere of Stephen Belber's McReele, staged by Tony Award© nominated director Doug Hughes (Doubt). McReele begins previews in January 2005 at the Laura Pels Theatre (Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre; 111 West 46th Street) and officially opens on Thursday, February 17, 2005. This is a limited engagement through Sunday, April 24th.

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director, John G. Schultz, Executive Director), one of New York City's leading Off-Broadway theater companies, will present 'ESCAPE: 6 WAYS TO GET AWAY,' a benefit evening of one-act plays written by Jon Robin Baitz (Ten Unknowns), John Guare (Six Degrees of Separation), Peter Hedges (What's Eating Gilbert Grape), Neil LaBute (The Mercy Seat), Tim Blake Nelson (The Grey Zone) and Wendy Wasserstein (The Heidi Chronicles). 'ESCAPE' will be held on Monday, December 6, 2004, 8pm at Broadway's CIRCLE IN THE SQUARE THEATER (1633 Broadway at West 50th Street, NYC).
