The American Theatre Wing hosts its annual Gala tonight, September 28, 2015 at The Plaza Hotel (Fifth Avenue at Central Park South), honoring legendary actor James Earl Jones. The new Broadway production of D.L. Coburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, The Gin Game, starring Tony Award winners James Earl Jones and Cicely Tyson, begins previews tonight, September 23. Opening night will be on Wednesday, October 14 at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue).

Theater audiences have an extra reason to see the Seacoast Repertory Theater's upcoming production of 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.' They chose the play.

According to The New York Times, television star Dylan McDermott has signed on to lead the stage adaptation of Tennessee Williams' 1956 film BABY DOLL at McCarter Theatre in New Jersey this fall. The production will run Sept. 11-October 11.

Making their Chichester debuts as George and Maud are Richard Fleeshman (UrineTown, Ghost: The Musical, Legally Blonde) and the Olivier Award nominated Summer Strallen (Top Hat, Love Never Dies, The Sound of Music). The stellar cast also includes Desmond Barrit (The History Boys, Wicked and numerous RSC productions), Isla Blair (Made in Dagenham, The Lyons, Festival 2009'sCollaboration), Richard Dempsey (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Michael Grandage's A Midsummer Night's Dream), Nicholas Farrell (Festival 2011's South Downs / The Browning Version, 37 Days and Chariots of Fire) and Sally Ann Triplett (Follies!, Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls).

Performances begin tonight, May 30, at the Chichester Festival Theatre for a new Gershwin musical, A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS. It officially opens on June 10 and will close June 27.
