George Street Playhouse announced today it will present its 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons at 103 College Farm Road, just off of Route 1 in New Brunswick -- 2 miles from its current home on Livingston Avenue.  Formerly known as the Agricultural Museum of New Jersey, and now owned by Rutgers University, the site will serve as the interim location of the Playhouse for two years as its future home -- the recently announced state-of-the-art performing arts center -- is built on Livingston Avenue.

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) will present internationally renowned soprano Patricia Racette with an honorary doctorate at the institution's annual commencement ceremony on May 19, 2017. Racette, highly sought after for her dramatic interpretations of roles both iconic and new, is known the world over for her lyrical expressivity and dynamism. She has performed on the stages of La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Royal Opera House, among many others. She is also the recipient of the prized Richard Tucker Award and the Opera News Award.

The Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University and The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA), in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs, will present Mark Bradford as the representative for the United States at La Biennale di Venezia 57th International Art Exhibition, on view from May 13 to November 26, 2017. Andrea Rosen is proud to present the gallery's third exhibition exploring the work and ideas of Tetsumi Kudo (1935-1990). Building on past shows that surveyed Kudo's career and contextualized it vis-a-vis contemporaries like Paul Thek, Hannah Wilke, and Alina Szapocznikow, the current presentation will examine the artist's development in the 1970s and '80s, highlighting the spiritual and symbolic currents to which Mike Kelley (quoted above) identified in an essay for Kudo's 2008 retrospective at the Walker Art Center.  The exhibition at Andrea Rosen Gallery brings together a survey of approximately eight string works and over twenty cages, spanning from 1966-1988.
