Dark & Stormy Productions today announces the producers, venue, and partners for its upcoming production of Extremities by William Mastrosimone. Previously, Dark & Stormy has presented Outside Providence by Edward Allan Baker, Speed-the-Plow by David Mamet, The Receptionist by Adam Bock, The Drunken City by Adam Bock, and The Hothouse by Harold Pinter. Extremities will be the first production of Dark & Stormy's 2015 season.

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announced the cast and creative team for The Foreigner, the last play in the "Alley Theatre @ UH" season. Alley Resident Company member Jeffrey Bean returns to one of his signature roles as Charlie Baker.

When it comes to Irish theatre and the Tony Awards, the distance is never great.

The 69th Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 7th at 8/9c hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long award season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. We can't help but wonder what chances this year's Best Musical and Best Play nominees have of taking home the ultimate prize. 

Pochi giorni fa (martedi 28 aprile, per l'esattezza), sono state finalmente annunciate le candidature ai Tony Awards 2015, premi che si terranno domenica 7 giugno al Radio City Music Hall (New York). Si tratta della sessantanovesima edizione dei premi che portano indelebile il nome di Antoinette Perry (da cui 'Tony'), attrice e leader dell'American Theatre Wing. I premi saranno presentati dal dinamico duo Alan Cumming ('Cabaret', 'Macbeth') e Kristin Chenoweth (nota soprattutto per aver interpretato il ruolo di Glinda nel cast originale di 'Wicked').

Il 24 ed il 25 Aprile alle ore 21  il  Teatro Imperiale di Guidonia alza il sipario su Marco Columbro & Gaia De Laurentiis. In scena  Alla stessa ora il prossimo anno per la regia di Giovanni De Feudis.

Featuring iconic costume and set designs by Edward Gorey, the Alley's production is based on the original 1927 adaptation of the classic thriller that marvelously balances the menace of the horror tale with sophisticated satire.

The Old Globe today announced additional performances for the third production of the 2014 Summer Season, Ronald Harwood's comedy Quartet, directed by Richard Seer (Other Desert Cities, God of Carnage, The Last Romance). Harwood received an Academy Award for his screenplay of The Pianist and was nominated for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and The Dresser (also a hit on Broadway and the West End). By popular demand, it will now play through Sunday, August 31. Tickets for the extension will go on sale to the general public on Sunday, August 10 at 12:01 a.m.

A.R. Gurney's enduring romance about first loves and second chances, LOVE LETTERS, will have its first Broadway revival, beginning performances Saturday, September 13, 2014, at 8pm, at the Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41 Street).

La splendida e prestigiosa cornice che ormai e il punto di riferimento dei migliori spettacoli musicali di Roma sara la perfetta location per una vera e propria FESTA del teatro musicale italiano. Come gia annunciato in precedenza, le coreografie saranno ideate da Stefano Bontempi (gia coreografo, tra i tanti, in CHICAGO, GYPSY, STANNO SUONANDO LA NOSTRA CANZONE), mentre le routine di tap dance saranno a cura di Marco Rea (tra gli altri, RUGANTINO e il suo TUTTO DIPENDE DA ME... O QUASI). I costumi e gli abiti di scena porteranno la firma di Mariu De Sica. Altro grande nome che si va ad aggiungere a questo squadrone di fuoriclasse e quello di Dino Scuderi (SALVATORE GIULIANO, ODYSSEUS-DANCE OPERA), che dirigera i momenti musicali dello show e firmera il grande opening number originale. Scenic designer, writer and professor, MARJORIE BRADLEY KELLOGG, and costume designer DEBORAH M. DRYDEN are among the 2014 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony tonight, May 2, at 6:30pm, at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street).
