The fifth play in the third season of Asolo Rep's five-year American Character Project illuminates a sect of wealthy, early 20th-century American women who yearned for the pomp and circumstance - and parties - of the British nobility. In Maxwell Anderson's 1933 political satire Both Your Houses, a straight-laced young congressman's outlandish plan is bound to save Congress from itself! Or is it?Remy Bumppo will present Anderson's Pulitzer Prize winner as the opening production of its 18th season. Press Opening is Monday, October 6 at 7:00 pm at the Greenhouse Theater Center. The production will run throughout the lead-up to the 2014 midterm elections, in which 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 33 seats in the Senate will be up for re-election.
