The Syracuse University Department of Drama announced the six plays and musicals that will make up the 2018/2019 season. With an emphasis on contemporary work, the season addresses a variety of current issues and concerns as experienced from intimately personal points of view. The season celebrates stories of consequence, while at the same time investigating and challenging the process, implications and impact of storytelling itself.

Rafael Payare's highly anticipated inaugural concerts as San Diego Symphony's Music Director Designate take place as part of the annual January Festival. The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) is pleased to announce the 2018 MAC Award nominees. The nominees, in a majority of the categories, were determined by votes cast by the active MAC membership. The MAC Board of Directors selected the nominees for Show of the Year. Special committees selected the nominees in the Ensemble Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Singing Entertainer (Female; Male), Recording (LaMott Friedman), Major Recording, Song and Comedy/Novelty Song categories. The names of the songwriters in the Song and Comedy/Novelty Song categories are being withheld during the voting period, but will be announced publicly as soon as the voting period concludes.

It's been a loverly winter at Quintessence Theatre Group. With excellent reviews, sold out houses, and standing ovations, the classic musical and holiday treat for the entire family -- My Fair Lady, will now close December 30. The two-piano version of this show is performed at the Sedgwick Theater located at 7137 Germantown Avenue in Mt. Airy. The festive program includes music by John Williams from Home Alone, Franz Waxman's 1938 Suite from A Christmas Carol, waltzes by Johann Strauss Jr., and more. Of course, no Holiday POPS! concert is complete without Maestro Milanov inviting the audience to join in on carols arranged by Leroy Anderson.

The Providence Performing Arts Center announced today that the Rhode Island Philharmonic will perform Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in Concert on Saturday, April 28, 2018 as part of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series.
