'Oh What War' To Be Presented at HERE Arts Center Starting 9/10

A co-production from the OBIE-winning HERE Arts Center and The Juggernaut Theatre Company, OH WHAT WAR will play Wednesday, September 10 - Saturday, October 4 at HERE Arts Center. Conceived and directed by Mallory Catlett, OH WHAT WAR is presented as part of HERE's 2008-09 mainstage season of new multi-disciplinary productions spanning theatre, dance, puppetry and multimedia works. Official Opening is Saturday, September 13 @ 7:30 PM. A fantasy of flagrant disobedience to authority, OH WHAT WAR, is underground entertainment performed by a band of deserters stuck in No Man's Land.

Deep in the heartland, southern Indiana. I am working on a new play at the New Harmony project. It is fantastic here, great for writing. Not so good for calling. To use your cell phone you have to walk five streets down and two streets over, where, in the middle of the road, you might be able to get Verizon. So when I finally pick up my messages there are quite a few, including three from a very determined lady who would like to speak to me about a project.

Les Misérables in Concert makes its Hollywood Bowl debut in a production featuring Melora Hardin as Fantine, Maddie Levy as Young Cosette, Tom Lowe as Enjolras, Michele Maika as Cosette, Michael McCormick as Thénardier, J. Mark McVey as Valjean, Lea Michele as Éponine, Brian Stokes Mitchell as Javert, Sage Ryan as Gavroche and John Lloyd Young as Marius. Rosie O'Donnell, who was to play the role of Madame Thenardier, has withdrawn from the performances in order to care for her eldest son, who broke his wrist. She will be replaced by veteran actress Ruth Williamson.

Dylan McDermott Joins Cast of 'Three Changes' This Fall

Golden Globe winner and Emmy Award nominee Dylan McDermott has joined the cast of Playwrights Horizon's first production of the new season, the World Premiere of THREE CHANGES, a new play by Nicky Silver. Directed by Tony Award nominee Wilson Milam (The Lieutenant of Inishmore), the production will begin previews on Friday, August 22, 2008 with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, September 16. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, September 28 at Playwrights Horizons Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).
