The citizens must use public amenities regulated by a malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. If the poor don’t obey the strict laws prohibiting free urination, they’re sent to the dreaded “Urinetown.” Come ready to laugh! Amid the people, a brave, young hero decides he's had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! As with all well-constructed comedies and satire, URINETOWN has a heart and a message. It invites you to look at your actions and question society's actions today but in a non-threatening manner.
