Help us Send a Kid to Camp!

Each May, we produce a fundraising event to supplement the extraordinary amount of youth summer theater camp tuition scholarships we provide in Raleigh and Durham.

On average, we give $25,000 of tuition assistance each summer to our popular youth summer theater camps. (North Raleigh at St. Francis of Assisi, The Raleigh Safety and Community Club in conjunction with Passage Home, Inc., in the historic downtown Raleigh South Park neighborhood and the Emily K Center in Durham.) In addition, we pay our professional staff and counselors a fair wage.

Submissions for performers are due by May 2nd at midnight. There is no fee to enter. Email jptopenmicnight1@gmail.com for an official entry application.

Categories are as follows: 1) Music/Vocal 2) Music/Instrumental 3) Comedy 4) Spoken Word/Poetry 5) Theater/Dramatization 6) Other (please specify)

Chosen performers will be asked to pay a $15 fee to cover the cost of their participation, which includes the buffet by Trali Irish Pub. Wine and Beer will be available for $5 per serving.

Three winners will be chosen by audience vote. $100 will be awarded to the first place winner, $30 for second and $30 for third place. Each winner will be asked to perform an encore.

WHERE: Citrix 120 S. west St., Raleigh

There will be tours of their beautiful and innovative offices in downtown Raleigh, a wonderful buffet by Trali Irish Pub and Restaurant, beverages for purchase, and a silent auction and raffle.
