The RRazz Room, San Francisco's premier nightclub, presents the return of Tony Award-winning singer and actress Betty Buckley from October 30 to November 4. This special one-week engagement marks the Bay Area debut of her show 'Ah Men! The Boys of Broadway,' based on her new CD. Buckley will perform men's songs from Broadway shows that she has always wanted to sing, including numbers from Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Pippin, Mame and La Cage Aux Folles. According to The New York Times, "Ms. Buckley's show is a witty, powerfully sung female occupation of male territory, waged with good humor and gusto." Ms. Buckley is a 2012 Inductee into the Theatre Hall of Fame.

Broadway's Nina Arianda guest starred on last night's episode of the NBC comedy 30 ROCK, which also featured a special guest appearance by OlympIan Ryan Lochte. In the episode titled 'STRIDE OF PRIDE,' Liz (Tina Fey) works to prove to Tracy (Tracy Morgan) that women are funny while simultaneously attempting to head off a meltdown from Jenna (Jane Krakowski) after some negative publicity. Acclaimed cinematographer Harris Savides, who worked on such films as MILK and ZODIAC, has died at the age of 55. The cause of his death is not yet known.

Vineyard Theatre will open its 30th Anniversary season with the world premiere production of Douglas McGrath's play CHECKERS. Preview performances begin tonight, and opening night is set for October 28th. The production will be directed by Terry Kinney, it has been announced by The Vineyard's Artistic Director Douglas Aibel and Co-Artistic Director Sarah Stern.
