Kansas City's American Heartland Theatre in Crown Center has announced their 2012-2013 season, which will include 5 Kansas City Premieres and one favorite holiday hit. Starting off the season is comedy about family by one of AHT's favorite playwrights, Sean Grennan, MAKING GOD LAUGH. The production has been extended multiple times and is now in final weeks, ending its successful Chicago run on November 11.

The RRazz Room, San Francisco's premier nightclub, presents the return of Tony Award-winning singer and actress Betty Buckley from tonight, October 30 to November 4. This special one-week engagement marks the Bay Area debut of her show 'Ah Men! The Boys of Broadway,' based on her new CD. Buckley will perform men's songs from Broadway shows that she has always wanted to sing, including numbers from Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Pippin, Mame and La Cage Aux Folles. According to The New York Times, "Ms. Buckley's show is a witty, powerfully sung female occupation of male territory, waged with good humor and gusto." Ms. Buckley is a 2012 Inductee into the Theatre Hall of Fame.

In an open letter emailed to fans, comedian Louis C.K. confirmed that Sunday night's show at the City Center would be forced to be rescheduled to March 2, 2013 due to Hurricane Sandy.

Vineyard Theatre will open its 30th Anniversary season with the world premiere production of Douglas McGrath's play CHECKERS. Opening night is set for tonight, October 28th. The production will be directed by Terry Kinney, it has been announced by The Vineyard's Artistic Director Douglas Aibel and Co-Artistic Director Sarah Stern.

Principal cast changes have been announced for the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, the longest-running show in Broadway history. Produced by Cameron Mackintosh/Really Useful Group, Inc. and directed by Harold Prince, the musical phenomenon is in its unprecedented 25th year in New York, playing at The Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street).

The Town Hall's Eighth Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival concludes with The Best of Broadway By The Year on Friday October 26th at 8pm.
